Can Dr Nibbe work with my PCP?

Dr Nibbe would be honored to work as part of your medical team!  A visit summary as well as copies of lab tests can be provided that you can bring back to your primary care physician or other members of your medical team. Please note that you must continue to receive your chronic medication refills from your PCP, I cannot provide refills for these.

Does Dr Nibbe take insurance?

Dr Nibbe works as a fee-for-service consultant and is not in-network for any insurance plan.  The office can, however, accept health saving accounts (HSAs) or flexible spending accounts (FSAs).

Will my insurance reimburse me for costs associated with my visit?

Certain plans offer partial reimbursement for visit costs and most PPOs will often cover standard labs and some specialty testing. A Superbill can be provided upon request so that you may seek reimbursement directly from your insurer. PPO carriers usually cover 60-80% of these types of "out of network" office visits.  In general, HMOs and Medicare will not cover these types of specialty services.  Remember, your standard deductibles still apply.  Please contact your insurance company in advance of your appointment to confirm the parameters of your coverage.

What is your cancellation policy?

Scheduled time with our professional staff is considered to be extremely valuable and we have come to rely on a mutual respect for one another’s time. Your appointment time is exclusively yours and we never ‘overbook’ or ‘doublebook’ patients. If you find it necessary to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact our front office as soon as possible. For scheduled office visit appointments, we require at least 2 business days notice to avoid a $25 cancellation fee. If you fail to give this advance notice, we will bill you accordingly. In all fairness to our staff and other patients who may be on a waiting list for an open appointment, we ask that you respect this policy.

Do you offer sliding-scale fees?

Where there is an economic constraint, a reduced fee may be negotiated.  Dr Nibbe reserves a small number of appointment slots each month for those with significant financial hardships, for whom fees will be provided on a sliding scale basis.  Please mention this during your FREE 10-minute  introductory phone appointment.

What forms of payment does the office accept?

Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and money orders are all acceptable forms of payment.

Payment is requested at the time of service.
